Four Tips to Beating Exam Stress

Exams can be stressful. With everything going on it's easy to feel stressed and overwhelmed. Don't let stress creep up on you! If you take a little time to plan and prepare you'll be able to minimize the amount of stress you feel!

Study Regularly

plan-to-study
Plan out when you are going to study. Block off 20-30minutes of time that you will dedicate strictly to studying. Keeping your study sessions short will help you stay focused and not get distracted.

Get Enough Sleep

Try and allocate yourself 7-8 hours of sleep. This will help improve your memory by helping your brain store new knowledge into your long-term memory. It will also ensure you are well rested for your classes and exams.

Listen to Music

Put some quiet music on in the background. Music like classical, instrumental and nature sounds can create a positive and productive environment. This will improve your mood and encourage you to study longer and more focused.

Avoid Distractions

When studying make sure to avoid all distractions. Find a quiet spot and turn your phone off so you're not tempted to check your messages and social media. It's easy to get sucked into what your friends are posting and it'll end up wasting you lots of time.

Don't let exam stress hold you back!
