Ontario to Launch Personal Support Worker Registry

Registry Will Improve Transparency for Patients and Families

In January 2018, Ontario will launch a new mandatory registry for Personal Support Workers. This registry will include background information on PSW’s, such as their education and training credentials and adherence to a code of conduct. This registry will provide families and patients with the ability to ensure they are receiving care from PSW’s who have gone through the proper and necessary training.
